Pro-specific problems and fixes. For issues with the Updatronix plugin’s screens, log, schedule, or settings, see the Updatronix troubleshooting page. If your issue is not listed here, use the Documentation and Support links in the Updatronix header, or the plugin’s support channel.

The Updatronix 3000 tab is missing

Updatronix 3000 adds the tab on top of the Updatronix screen. Check in this order:

  1. Is the Updatronix plugin active? If not, the admin shows Updatronix 3000 requires the Updatronix plugin. Install Updatronix to enable Pro features.
  2. Is the Updatronix plugin at least version 1.1.1? The notice reads Updatronix 3000 requires Updatronix 1.1.1 or later. You are running x.y.z. Update Updatronix to enable Pro features.
  3. On multisite, are both plugins network-activated, and are you looking in the Network Admin? Updatronix 3000 adds its tab wherever the Updatronix screen loads.

License activation fails

  • Activation failed. The license server did not accept the request, or it was unreachable. Retry later, and check that the site can reach app.holdmywp.com or your custom license server URL.
  • Activation rejected by server. The key was rejected. Check it for typos, confirm it is not already registered to another domain, and confirm the domain matches the one the key was issued for.
  • Please wait before attempting another activation. Activation attempts are throttled. Wait a moment and retry.

The license reports inactive although I activated it

The stored record stops working in two cases:

  • The license server rejects the stored key: Updatronix 3000 license validation failed. Please re-activate your license key to restore Pro features.
  • The stored key cannot be decrypted, usually because the site’s security keys changed: Updatronix 3000 license decryption failed. Please re-activate your license key to restore Pro features.

Either way, activate the license again from the Updatronix 3000 tab.

Safe mode does not block anything

Check the Update Shield settings on the Updatronix 3000 tab.

  • Safe mode must be on. While it is off, the panel says Safe mode is disabled. Automatic updates are not blocked by compatibility checks.
  • The checks you expect must be on. Check WordPress version compatibility covers “tested up to” and core requirements; Check PHP version compatibility covers PHP requirements. With both off, nothing is ever blocked.
  • The item must be incompatible and pending an automatic update. Manual updates are never blocked, by design.
  • The decision data comes from WordPress’s update data. If the item is not in there yet, run Recheck compatibility to refresh it.

I do not receive blocked-update emails

The Safe mode email follows the Updatronix plugin’s notification rules, described in Safe mode.

  1. On the Settings tab, Disable all update notification emails must be off. It silences Safe mode emails too.
  2. Send email notifications when an update is blocked must be on in the Update Shield section.
  3. Without a custom recipient, the email goes to the site’s admin email. Check that address’s spam folder.

A plugin I want stays blocked or keeps its toggle off

Safe mode disables auto-update for incompatible items and locks their toggles while the incompatible version is pending.

  1. Update the item manually. Safe mode never blocks manual updates.
  2. If the installed version is compatible, re-enable auto-update for the item, either on the Auto-updates tab or on the native plugins and themes screens.
  3. If you do not want the item to update automatically at all, leave the toggle off. That is a normal auto-update setting, not a fault.

Pro update does not appear on the Updates screen

  • The update cache is 12 hours by default. Select Check again on Dashboard → Updates to force a refresh.
  • The license must be active. Update checks against the license server only run with a valid license.
  • If a newer version exists but the license server returned no download URL, the updates screen shows a missing-package notice. Contact support to have the release package configured on the license server.

Multisite

All Pro settings, the license, and the shield state are network-wide and managed from the Network Admin. On a subsite, Updatronix 3000 has no interface.
